Getting ready for SIBOS 2022: Progressive Finance for a Changing World

5 October 2022

At Icon Solutions, we spend a lot of time thinking about the ever-evolving payments landscape and the challenges it creates for its stakeholders. Banks struggle to make money processing payments and therefore need to cut costs by factors, not percentages. This creates pressure to find new ways to generate revenue whilst simultaneously trying address shifting regulatory requirements—all while trying to simply keep the lights on. At Icon, we’re focused on enabling transformation by providing solutions that enhance agility and alleviate pressure for our customers. All at their own pace and in full control.

So, naturally, we are excited that this year’s Sibos conference revolves around the theme of Progressive Finance for a Changing World.

From 10-13 October, key representatives from Icon Solutions will join other industry leaders and members of the global finance community in Amsterdam to participate in Sibos 2022. After attending virtually for the past few years, we’re more than ready to get back to face-to-face conversations.

Icon Solutions will host our own booth (DIS36), where my colleagues and I will be eager to chat with other attendees about the challenges they’re up against and the solutions we offer to tackle them. Our experts will be on hand throughout the conference to answer questions about IPF, our cloud-native payments platform that empowers our clients to create and deploy new products and value-added services quickly, cost-effectively and resiliently, and about our Payments Centre of Excellence, which helps our clients create actionable strategies, target architectures and roadmaps based on tried and tested best practices and assets in order to enable running Payments as a Business.

In fact, IPF will make its big screen debut at Sibos. Keep an eye out for the new animation we created especially for the event to play on screens throughout the convention centre and around our booth. Not only does this short video explain how IPF drives sustainable payments transformation, it also explains how it enables #PaytechforGrownUps. We can’t wait for you to see it.

We’ll also introduce new research conducted by leading financial services research firm Celent during the conference. This report provides valuable insight into new opportunities for banks to move account-based payments toward revenue streams—an incredibly timely topic investigating offering of Payments as a Service by Banks—not FinTechs.

Please to stop by our booth at any time throughout Sibos to share your vision for the future of payments and learn why you don’t need a Payments Factory but a Payments Greenhouse. We look forward to seeing you in Amsterdam.
