    Until now financial institutions (FI's) have been in control of their digital presence, offering their own branded services to customers via tablets, mobiles and wearable technology. PSD2 radically changes the rules of the game by granting third party providers (TPPs) the right to access account information and to initiate payments on behalf of the FI’s customers, and present the service with the TPP’s branding – otherwise known as “open banking”.
