IPF Instant Payments

A proven payments solution for a new world

Empowering a faster future today

IPF builds on the Icon Payments Blueprint. With IPF we have gone one step further than theory, building a unique representation of "what good looks like". The solution is a modern payments platform that combines open source technology with light-weight integration. Unlike traditional payment ‘hubs’ IPF empowers our clients, enabling a low risk approach, the deployment of new products and value added services quickly, cost-effectively and resiliently.

IPF is built to simplify the complexities of payments. In doing so we have focused on four fundamental requirements that lie at the heart of a payment providers strategy:

Quality of Service

Any downtime threatens to leave a financial institution in the firing line of social media in a matter of minutes. At the heart of IPF is an architecture that matches that of the internet giants. Elastic scalability, containerised deployment and built in redundancy including function stand-in capability to help achieve the 24/7/365 requirements of real-time schemes. Rich operational control data enables confidence in monitoring and maintaining required service levels.

Speed to Market

Rather than 'rip and replace', IPF compliments existing systems; reusing where possible and replacing where needed, all aided by a lightweight API driven integration layer. Code and accompanying test packs are delivered seamlessly using sophisticated business process flow design tooling. Scheme packs come pre-built, certified and compliant with rules. This enables us to implement a new scheme pack in 5 weeks and go from project start to live in just 6 months.

Increased Agility

Regulations and client expectations are driving the functional agenda faster than ever. Payment execution is taken for granted, barely a commodity. It is value added services that will drive customer retention and profitability going forward. This requires far higher levels of agility than ever before. Built transparently in a highly modular fashion, IPF utilises graphical payment workflow design, automated code generation and regression testing tools to leave clients in control. IPF empowers, giving the ability to make changes, extend and deliver new services in weeks with as much or as little support from Icon as is wanted.

Reduced TCO

In a highly competitive marketplace where value added services drive profits, reducing the cost of payment processing is key to maintaining margins. IPF reduces TCO through the use of an open source software stack and small hardware footprint. Reduced project timelines lower cost further whilst greater levels of agility and empowerment reduce reliance on external providers.
