Icon Solutions announced as a founding member of the U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC)
London – 13th November 2018 – Icon Solutions, the specialist provider of global payment technology solutions and consultancy services, was recently announced as a founding member of a newly launched organisation, the U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC). The purpose of the FPC is to work towards the goal of a ubiquitous, world-class payment system that allows Americans to safely and securely pay anyone, anywhere, at any time and with near-immediate funds availability.
Icon joined the FPC as a reflection of their commitment to the advancement of faster payments globally and in particular, to the US market.
The FPC will focus on private-sector approaches to solving problems and addressing issues that inhibit the adoption of faster payments. Its specific priorities over the next two years will include: enhancing the safety and security for service providers and users of faster payments, identifying and developing best practices and developing an educational programme to foster better understanding of the service.
Icon will work alongside 19 other FPC founding members, such as American Bankers Association, Bankers’ Bank, JP Morgan and Mastercard, to lead establishment activities for the organisation.
