What do you do at Icon?
I’m responsible for Statutory and Internal financial reporting to the Board and Senior Management. This includes planning, budgeting and forecasting; working capital management; and overall management of the accounting function to ensure the financial efficiency of the business.
What drives you in your work?
Continuous development of the Finance department to give the Board quicker and better information to help drive the company forward.
Why did you choose to join Icon?
Put simply, the people. I immediately felt like I would be working with like-minded people who wanted to get the job done and have fun while they were doing it.
What are the key achievements in your professional career?
I had a key role in delivering a global brand repositioning campaign for a large money transfer company which involved creating TV and radio ads and even sponsorship of a major cricket tournament (which was interesting considering how little I know about the sport). At Icon I'm incredibly proud of how far Icon has come as a brand - we have grown from a small, niche consultancy to an organisation who regularly speak at key industry events and feature in the industry press.
What drives you in your work?
I want to feel like I have made a difference. And I'm always trying to think of how we can do things better or differently and reinforce that marketing isn't just about making things look pretty!
