Why did you choose to join Icon?

From the time I walked in to my first interview with Icon, I noticed that the people were really friendly and honest. Interviews are the best gauge of what an organisation is like, and provide an important first impression. My first impressions at Icon were that the people are friendly and open, and more than five years later that continues to hold true.

What is your favourite part about working for Icon?

It's got to be the people. Everybody here is super friendly and eager to help, even if your problem has nothing to do with whatever they're working on at that particular point in time. I really feel like I'm part of a bigger community of super intelligent and enthusiastic people who also happen to be great human beings.

What drives you in your work?

I'm a big fan of helping people do their best, and sharing what I know with my colleagues. As a result I'm a big advocate of organising knowledge transfer events, and pair programming, because I believe that that's the best way that we can all succeed together and learn from each other.

What do you enjoy when you are not working?

I try to keep busy in my down time by keeping active! I play quite a bit of squash at lunchtime with Icon colleagues, and otherwise I'm into running and cycling. If the weather's too miserable outside, then I tend to work on personal software projects at home.
