What have been your key achievements at Icon?

Setting up the company from scratch, and constantly working at improving things so it remains a smooth-running professional organisation.

What drives you in your work?

Each day is different as an Operations Director with new challenges. I am passionate about developing simplistic forward-thinking solutions to the daily challenges I face with running Icon. To hear our customers say how easy we are to deal with, or how we've managed to turn around a large contract or resolve a project issue quickly and easily makes the long hours worthwhile.

What’s next for Icon?

There are a lot of exciting projects coming up in the world of banking and payments, and we want to take on more and more of them. The biggest challenge we face is in growing the company whilst still maintaining the high bar we have set for those we employ. If we dropped the requirement for everyone at Icon to be a member of the “A team” then we could grow a lot faster, but then we’d only be delivering an average service to our customers, and that’s not what we’re about.

What is an interesting non-work related fact about you?

I have trained in Fujian White Crane Kung Fu for many years, and have more recently taken part in national competitions.
